On the Threshold of Change: The Challenges of the 21st Century
VISION 2050
On the scale of planetary and solar system life, numerous risks emerge — from viruses like COVID-19 to asteroids and solar flares capable of wiping out humanity and life on Earth. This raises a fundamental question: who will prevail? Will humanity develop the technologies and protective capabilities fast enough, or will another disaster push us back to the Stone Age — or worse, erase us entirely?
At the same time, I am m deeply unsettled by the vast unknowns of the universe. In just a hundred years, humanity has advanced from Newtonian mechanics to quantum physics, from the Standard Model to the Big Bang. It is staggering to think what the collective human mind might uncover in the next century.
One science fiction writer described stages of human development based on energy consumption — the more energy a civilization can harness, the more it can manipulate matter and defend itself from existential risks. The core idea is to outrun catastrophe by mastering energy and technology — and constantly learning how to defend ourselves.
The crisis of management technologies
We don’t have the tools.
We don’t have the skills.
We don’t have the speed.
We must face the breakneck pace of technological progress — and the consequences it brings. In my opinion, a catastrophe awaits us in the near future if the level of management technologies and individual capabilities of people remain the same.
At the current level of development of management technologies and personal intellectual skills, humanity will not be able to cope with the complexity and intricacy of the technological systems being created, deployed, and woven into everyday life.
And without it we will lose control of what we create.
The Crisis of Identity and Humanity
The Symbiosis with Technology:
The integration of AI into our lives and the virtualization of communication are turning humans into cyborgs, creating a seamless symbiosis with technology. Quietly, parts of IT systems have already become extensions and amplifiers of our capabilities.
The Imminent Phase Transition:
I believe a phase shift is coming, driven by the convergence of several technologies: BCI, virtual interfaces and AGI multi-agent systems. Together, they will redefine how we think, act and connect.
Accelerated Cognition:
We still communicate at the speed of speech. But human intelligence can go much further. BCI will break that barrier. Virtualization will erase spatial limits. And AI-powered enhancers will accelerate both the depth and speed of how we process knowledge. I cannot yet imagine how profoundly this will transform individuals and systems.
The Emerging Identity & The Risk of Polarization:
What kind of identity will emerge from the fusion of human and machine? What will be expected of those who need to stay effective in the decades ahead? And what happens to those who can not or will not adapt?
These technologies, combined with today’s global order, will only sharpen the divide. On the one side, those capable and willing, leveraging technology to expand their potential and accelerate forward. On the other, the disconnected—unaware, unawakened, and increasingly excluded from the future we are creating.
The new ethics
All the changes and improvements in life have already brought us to a point where existing standards no longer match the complexity of our reality. We are facing entirely new challenges: relationships with AI agents, deeper transformations of the human body, the fusion of biological intelligence with machines, radical extensions of life expectancy to 120–150 years, and the emergence of new forms of injustice.
We have a lot of work to do to reshape our ethical frameworks. And above all, this transformation will require an appropriate apparatus and system of technological thinking, which will allow the transformation to proceed more smoothly, preferably without upheavals, nuclear winters and new digital inquisitions.
Posthuman or transhuman era
Moreover, there is a real risk that future generations of AI and AGI agents will become embedded in the very process of shaping culture and thought — leaving purely biological humans excluded from the trajectory of civilization. In truth, this isn’t a risk but an inevitability already unfolding before us.
We have 20-30 years at our disposal to ensure that the biological part of humanity can develop and improve itself, thereby earning the right to a place in the new civilization or system.
So, where do we stand?
Against the backdrop of what I have described above, the current level of utilization of intellectual, technological, physical, and temporal resources seems shockingly inefficient.
Imagine children learning not only facts, but how to stay healthy, think clearly, act creatively and live meaningfully.
Imagine people living up to 150 years with clarity, purpose and the capacity to contribute all the way.
Imagine ten times more successful creators than today, because it’s easier to start, test, and scale ideas.
Where knowledge, capital and markets are open and where creation is safe, supported, and celebrated.
In a world of creators, we can use Earth’s resources a hundred times more efficiently. We can tackle critical challenges — from curing cancer to making space travel cheaper and more accessible. We can stop fighting nature and start building a sustainable future alongside it.
But this future demands a new mindset. We must embrace our power to create and realize our ideas and ambitions. We must focus on natural health, happiness, realization, and cleverness. We need to make it okay and normal to be a creator.
Let’s build that world.
Let’s define success not only by what we earn, but by what we create.
Let’s make the creative life the human default.
The Power of Creation: Building a World of Creators
As human beings, we possess a unique power — the power to create. To turn ideas and ambitions into reality. To shape the world for the better.
However, in today's society, we often find ourselves consumed by the role of consumers rather than creators. We absorb what others have built, rather than building ourselves. But what if we could shift that balance? What if creating — realizing our own ideas and ambitions — became not the exception, but the norm?
This is the vision of a world of creators that I believe in. A world of creators. Where strength means calm confidence. Where cleverness is cultivated. Where collaboration replaces competition. Where success is measured not by financial gain alone, but by productive longevity, happiness, brainpower, and the efficient use of resources.
I believe in our, the creators of the world, power to make a positive impact on the world.
I believe in natural health, happiness, realization and cleverness.
I embrace my power to create and realize ideas and ambitions.
I measure success not just by financial gain, but by productive longevity, happiness, brain power and resource efficiency.
I work towards a world where being a creator is normal and celebrated
I believe in a sustainable future and the responsible use of the earth.
